Prices and Parking info:

I would suggest car pulling to the competition each day.

Also I will need a few parents to help to drive girls to the convention center Friday night for team practice, we have 17 girls, Scott and I can fit 3 so we need to find seats for 14 other butts.

To get a practices time for Friday night we had to pay $100, if each family could give me $7 that would cover the $100.

Once again I will get you a packet of info, hopefully for Monday - but maybe Tuesday - like I did for Indy. If you have not been getting text from me please let me know so I can get your correct cell phone number.

I believe there will be a KnockOut's parents meeting some time this week, we will keep you posted.

Venue Layout and Seating
The arena at this event will have chair seating available. We ask that seats not be saved so that everyone who attends the event can see their favorite athlete and dancer. We are expecting over 4000 fans and athletes at this competition. We also recommend that coaches advise their families to leave the competition area after awards to allow spectators from other teams competing later in the day have adequate seating. We offer “Groupie” VIP standing area in front of the stage so you have front row viewing of your favorite athletes. We ask that you coordinate with you parents so they are aware to look for the entrance and exit sides and do so quickly both ways so we can keep the show running on time.

Spectator Fees
Adults: $12
Children ages 5 – 17: $8
Children under 5: No Charge
Seniors (55 up): $8

Coaches please inform your parents that if they do not pay the admission price they will not be allowed in the main arena.

National Championship Awards
At our one day Nationals, team winners will receive a card worth 15 points if their team wins a National Championship. These cards can be taken to the National Champion Store and exchanged for merchandise. Items in the booth have different point values which allow athletes and coaches to have choices in their National Champion merchandise. Points from one card cannot be combined with points from another card (in the case of crossovers that win on two teams) but they will be able to pick out two different pieces of National Champion merchandise. You may also combine points with accepted forms of payment to upgrade your purchase at the Champion Store. Soloists and specialties do not receive cards if they win but are able to purchase merchandise at the Champion Store. Winners of Grand Champion will be given a special card with no point value to come and pick up a special Grand Champion prize. Please encourage your athletes to come by and take a look at the merchandise in the Champion Store and talk to the staff. If you win a National Championship with your team, please make sure to pick up your athletes cards backstage after the finish of the award ceremony.

Photo/Video
Every moment of the event will be captured by Premiere Photo and Video. Photographers will take team photos in the performance area and action shots will be taken for each team as they perform. Spectators are allowed to Video Tape at ALL GLCC events.

Photos can be viewed and purchased at the booth located near the front of the vendor area. Photos will also be available for purchase online after the event.

Frustration at Girard

After a great warm up, the Knockouts fell a bit short on the floor.

All though the girls scored well over 15 points higher than the first place team, 23 points in deductions took the Knockouts down into second place.

The judges loved our routine and were pleased with the girls keeping up the energy even with the stunt falls.

I would like to single out a few girls for their extra effort this weekend:

Erin - even with a fever of over 101 Erin went out on the floor and gave it her all!

Grace - on Thursday Grace was asked to step into Lindsey's stunts (Lindsey has an injured wrist and hip). Grace stepped in fearlessly and did a great job!

Caitylnn - before two weeks ago Caitlynn had never cheered. Due to a team members academic suspension WPIAL gymnast Caitlynn agreed to join the team and take over the open spot. In 4 short team practices and two open gyms Caitlynn learned how to be a cheerleader as well as learn the 2:30min. routine. Caitlynn, you did awesome out there on Saturday!

The key to keeping stunts in the air...
having all team members at all practices.
